Stephen Buchness is an accomplished clinician, trainer and
presenter with more than thirty years of clinical experience in
addictions and mental health. He graduated from Loyola College with
a Masters Degree in Counseling in 1975. He has published journal
articles highlighting addictions and family development, and has
presented papers to regional and national conventions. Within the
past ten years he has provided clinical training for some of the
country's largest managed care companies, and has traveled
throughout the eastern two-thirds of the United States. He has a
depth of understanding about the treatment process as well as the
wider problems of systems service delivery. He is a continuing
education presenter and has authored Continuing Education Courses for the
Internet. He is the treatment coordinator and clinician at Emmorton
Treatment Services, the program providing treatment for the Harford County, Maryland,
Family Recovery Court.
